The Lodge Continues On…

In November 2025, Pilgrim Lodge No. 7728 installed its new Worshipful Master, W Bro. Manpreet Singh, at the North Leeds Masonic Centre. A great evening for our New Master, the Lodge, and our visitors.

The ceremony was conducted by W Bro. Wharton, who now serves as Immediate Past Master. As is customary, the meeting marked the beginning of a new Lodge year and the passing of responsibility to the incoming Master and his officers.

Following the Installation meeting, the Lodge held its Festive Board at Cafe17 in Alwoodley. A Festive Board is the dinner held after a Lodge meeting. It includes toasts, speeches, and established traditions such as ‘wine taking’. The atmosphere is more relaxed than the formal meeting itself, giving members and guests time to talk and enjoy each other’s company.

Since then, the Lodge has continued with its regular meetings and social programme.

In January, Pilgrim Lodge held its annual Ladies’ Lunch, organised by the Master for the year, this year W Bro. Singh. Wives and partners dine together at a restaurant or golf club in Leeds and are treated by their own partner or husband in the Lodge.

The Brethren either dine with them as a group or arrange to drop them off beforehand, meet separately for a pub meal, then join everyone afterwards for drinks.

Lodge widows are also invited, as we consider it important that they remain part of the social life of the Lodge.

Our members also enjoyed a Christmas Carols in December.

The exciting months ahead will include Lodge meetings, visits to to other Lodges, and social events.

While each year brings a new Master and flair to the Social Events, the character and traditions of the Lodge itself remains consistent and we are all looking forward to the Months ahead.
