Pilgrim Lodge undertakes a Second Degree for The Leeds Lodge

During our March meeting, Pilgrim Lodge conducted a Passing (second degree ceremony) for a member of The Leeds Lodge. Demonstrating how Masonic Lodges work together.

Pilgrim Lodge’s March 2026 Meeting – Congratulations Bro. Igie!

Pilgrim Lodge No. 7728 held a well attended meeting in March 2026, with Brethren and visitors coming together from across Leeds and West Yorkshire. The main item on the summons (meeting agenda), was to ‘pass’ Bro. Igie to the Degree of Fellowcraft (the second degree in Craft Freemasonry). The Worshipful Master of Pilgrim Lodge, and the Leeds Lodge congratulates a new Fellowcraft Freemason

Bro. Igie, a member of The Leeds Lodge No. 9867, was initiated in November 2025. Pilgrim Lodge was pleased to carry out the ceremony on behalf of his mother lodge, reflecting the strong links between Lodges across Leeds.

The Leeds Lodge, which meets in Leeds city centre, was well represented on the evening, with several visitors in attendance including their Worshipful Master. Their presence added to the occasion and was appreciated by the Brethren of Pilgrim Lodge.

The ceremony was delivered with a clear sense of occasion throughout and a member of The Leeds Lodge even explained the Second Degree Tracing Board.

Bro. Igie’s progression marked an important step in his (and any Freemason’s) Masonic journey and the Lodge was pleased to support him.

After the meeting, Brethren from both Lodges spent time together in good company during the Festive Board (meal after our formal meeting), this helped to further strengthen friendships.

Pilgrim Lodge No. 7728 continues to meet regularly and welcomes Masonic visitors from across the area, playing its part in the life of Freemasonry in Leeds.
